娘 Musume

These photos are excerpts from a photo book in progress entitled Musume, Japanese for "daughter." The series is comprised of various photos of my daughter Kana — whose mother is native Japanese — that depict nothing more than a little girl navigating the challenges and carefree nature of growing up. Once I finish compiling images for Musume, I plan to self-publish the book and use any profits collected from it to begin a college fund for Kana. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I did capturing them.
