Starting off the new year with a daily set of blog posts that chronicle what I watch/listen to/read. I'll be updating every day that I do one or the other of these activities. First up:
Watched — Japanese master filmmaker Takashi Miike's exquisite horror film, Audition. Starting off at a snail's pace, the film slowly picks up momentum with each passing scene after Shiina's mysteriously creepy Asami is introduced. You know something's off with this woman, but you don't find out just how off until the final half hour or so. Tour de force of psychological horror filmmaking.
